Tried my hand at "Art the clown" from Terrifier
This guy doesn’t just hang on your wall… he waits there for you.
I decided to take on the sculpting challenge of creating Art the Clown from the movie Terrifier. This character is known for his creepy, mime-like look. You might think of a simple design, and for the bust, it mostly is. But one of the biggest challenges was making his hat. Art’s signature cap is not just any clown hat, and trying to attach it to a mug was a real pain, and for the "uglyMug" version a complete nightmare. For now I'm just making the wallhanging bust of Art.
I ended up using a combination of cardboard and polymer clay for the hat, and it worked out surprisingly well. The cardboard gave it the structure I needed, while the clay brought it to life with all the little details. so making the hat and fitting it to a mug that's still a puzzle. Sculpting hats onto mugs can be tricky in general, but Art’s special top hat-ish hat will make it even more challenging, Sculpting hats onto mugs can be tricky in general, but Art’s special top hat-like hat will make it even more challenging. Luckily, for me, he wears a Santa hat in Terrifier 3, and I might just have to rely on that to get past the " no way a top hat will fit on a mug" situation.
Update: I’m still working on Art as a mug. Fortunately, Terrifier 3 is a Christmas movie, so the late update should be okay. (I missed the Halloween deadline.)

With his eerie grin and razor-sharp charm, he stepped straight out of a late-night VHS you weren’t supposed to rent. Every twisted detail, every shadow carved into his face, feels like it’s hiding a secret. If you live for the blood-splattered madness of the Terrifier films, or you just like your décor with a little edge, pun intended, this wall sculpture isn’t just art... It's Art.the Clown!
