Welcome to the Lab: Monsters, Marketing, and Many, Many Ideas
If you’re looking for a perfectly curated, "clean-aesthetic" art blog, you might have taken a wrong turn.
I make ugly-mugs, spot-heads, busts, and… well, a lot of different things. My portfolio is a bit of a monster-filled junk drawer, and that’s by design. Some people call it a short attention span; I call it creative agility. I’ve realized that the same energy that makes me want to sculpt a warty nose on a ceramic cup is the same energy that makes me want to tear apart my website’s code to see how it works.
Why "Ugly Stuff"?
In a world obsessed with filters and "perfect" finishes, I find beauty in the textures, the wrinkles, and the weird. My work is about finding the character in the imperfections. But making the art is only half the battle.

The Modern Artist’s Toolkit
To be an artist in 2026, you can’t just stay in the studio. You have to be a marketer, a storyteller, and a bit of a sysadmin.
That’s why this blog exists. It’s a place where I’m documenting:
- The Physical: Sculpting processes "surgeries," and the evolution of my sculpture and character work.
- The Digital: My "vibecoding" experiments, building a "local living" site on Ghost, and figuring out how to market work without losing my soul to the algorithms.
- The Tech: Why I’m using things like Amazon SES to own my own email list instead of renting it from expensive platforms.
Stay Weird With Me
Whether you're here to learn how to sculpt a bulbous nose or how to connect your blog to a mail server, I'm glad you're in the lab with me.
Expect a bit of chaos, a lot of clay, and plenty of "Ugly" updates.
Enjoyed this? There’s more "Stuff" to explore. Whether you're here for the art or the algorithms, I’ve got you covered. If you love the weird and wonderful, check out my latest Handmade Cyclops Mugs and Sculptures each one as unique (and eerie) as the last.
