Q: Why "Ugly Stuff"?
A: Because "pretty" is boring! I love creating things with character, texture, and a bit of weirdness. It’s about finding the humour and fun in the imperfections.
Q: Can I use UglyMugs to drink from?
A: Yes, but drink from the ceramic rim only. Polymer clay is non-toxic but not food-safe, so please avoid contact between the sculpture and your mouth or beverage.
Q:Can I put mugs in the dishwasher ?
A: No, please hand wash only. The high heat and harsh abrasives in a dishwasher can damage the polymer clay sculpture or weaken the bond to the mug. Warm water and mild soap are best!
Q: Can I put it in the microwave?
A: Definitely not. The heat can damage the sculpture (and potentially your microwave). If you need to reheat your coffee, pour it into a microwave-safe cup first!
Q: My mug arrived broken! What do I do?
A: Oh no! I pack them as safely as possible, but accidents happen. Please message me right away, We can figure out what to do next.
Q:Where do you ship from?
A: All UglyStuff things are hand made by myself and shipped from Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada.
Q: What are the sculptures made of?
A: I use Super Sculpey (polymer clay), which is sculpted directly onto a ceramic mug or terracotta pot and then baked to cure.
